Birthdays​

We love to celebrate birthdays at school! On your child's special day you are welcome to send in individual treats for the class (small cupcakes, cookies, pre-cut cakes). We will have our treat during snack time after lunch.

*What sort of homework will my child have each night?
My homework is 20 minutes of reading each night. In addition, should your child not finish class work at school he or she may need to bring this home for completion.

GRADES
* Can my child redo assignments?
Your child will be given the opportunity to redo any paper that has a REDO on it. A 70 is the highest grade your child can receive on a paper that was redone
*Will my child get points taken off for misspelled words?
Your child will only get points taken off if the word they misspelled is in the question. They will also get counted off for misspelling words on spelling assignments.
*In math, does my child have to show their work?
Yes, your child must always show his or her work.
BRING YOUR OWN DEVICE
*Can my child bring their device everyday?
Yes, your child may bring their device everyday.
*What rules do you have concerning their device?
1. Students may only get on apps. that are pre-approved by me.
2. If a student is caught on an app. that was not approved I will it take away.
3. They are the only person to "drive" their device.

Volunteer​

We love volunteers! If you would like to volunteer in the classroom, computer lab, garden or library, please be sure to get a volunteer form from the office and turn it in to Mrs. Handley when completed. I will set a schedule so you know when to come share your time with us!
