Welcome to 3rd grade! I am excited to begin my 10th year of teaching at Rooster Springs Elementary. I graduated from The University of Texas at Austin in 2001 with a degree in History and a minor in Art History. In addition, I am certified as a teacher in Early Childhood Education – 6th grade as well as Special Education for all grade levels. I am also ESL and GT certified. Working with children is my dream job and have spent the past 15 years helping students achieve success.
I am a long-time Central Texas resident and graduate of DSHS and UT Austin. I am married with four fantastic sons. I enjoy spending time with my family by exploring the outdoors, swimming, playing board games and attending sporting events. I am also an avid reader and love getting lost in a good book!
My teaching philosophy is straightforward. I believe that all children have unique talents and abilities and I enjoy finding ways to help a child learn in a manner that is most comfortable for his or her learning style. I am looking forward to a wonderful year!
